Guitar Adventures is a collection of vintage guitar related adventures I went on through my life, from visiting the Fender Guitar Factory, through to vintage guitar gatherings between collectors in my back yard. It is a look back at some amazing guitars.

1981 Fender Factory Tour

This was still the CBS Musical Instruments era, as indicated by the signage on the building. A few years later in 1985, CBS sold Fender for US$12.5.

California Guitar

California Guitar was owned by Frank Lucido, and this Santa Barbara based store was on my wish list for some time. I could not believe it as I finally entered this vintage guitar heaven.

Frank Lucido in the Valley

On yet another visit to the USA in in early to mid 1980s, I was determined to visit Frank Lucido's California Guitar again, but he had moved to 'The Valley', and on this visit I brought money with me, so let the spending begin!

The Pool Pump Collection

Back in the 1980s my fellow collectors and I would gather to compare our guitars and take photos. On this occasion we stacked the guitars on the pool pump box/cover and started clicking.
